In our classroom we practice being accountable for our own behavior. If we make a poor choice we are asked to flip a card. With each card flip comes an appropriate consequence:
1. A warning 2. Write the promise (during recess) 3. A written behavior plan (goes home in planner) 4. Go to the office
When an adult in the room says "give me five" we stop what we are doing, look at the speaker, and listen.
During our S.S.R. time we have our wow and oops chart to hold us accountable for reading. If we are on the oops at the end of S.S.R. we flip a card.
